The Hilb Group has acquired Southborough-based G&N Insurance in a private deal, which will see operations continue in Massachusetts under the company’s current leadership.
G&N is a property & casualty insurance agency primarily providing personal lines insurance to real estate owners in the New England area. Founded in 2010 by agency leaders, Zack Gould and Matt Naimoli, the company will maintain its Massachusetts operations under their leadership.
Gould and Naimoli founded G&N after working together at national insurer Liberty Mutual.
The Hilb Group is a middle-market insurance agency headquartered in Richmond, Va. and is a portfolio company of Boston-based private equity firm Abry Partners. The Hilb Group seeks to grow through targeted acquisitions in the middle-market insurance brokerage space. The company now has more than 90 offices in 21 states.
The acquisition went into effect on Nov. 1. Financial terms were not disclosed.
