Virginia biotech expands to Marlborough with new facility

StageBio, a company with locations in Virginia and Maryland, has expanded into the Massachusetts market with a new, 10-person facility in Marlborough.
The provider of GLP-compliant archiving services officially opened its new facility at 450 Donald Lynch Blvd. on Thursday. The nearly 10,000-square-foot facility features a laboratory with a range of services including molecular and investigative pathology, whole-slide scanning, and computerized histomorphometry to support academic, pharmaceutical and medical device development.
There are currently 10 employees at the site, said Director of Marketing Peggy Rogers. However, it was built out with growth in mind and the company anticipates adding more employees.
The company employs approximately 150 people, said Rogers.
