The 495/MetroWest Corridor Partnership, a regional organization founded to boost economic growth and development, has hired a new executive director.
Jason Palitsch, who has served as government affairs manager for Worcester nonprofit Veteran's Inc. whose mission is to end homelessness among veterans, will start on Tuesday.
The Shrewsbury resident is a member of the Shrewsbury School Committee.
Jeremy Thompson, the agency's policy and planning manager, said Palitsh brings varied experience, as well as enthusiasm, innovation, and excitement to the role.
He replaces Paul Matthews, who has taken as the executive director of the Worcester Regional Research Bureau.
Thompson said he did not know Palitsch’s new salary. Matthews was paid $100,826, according to the organization's filings with the U.S. Internal Revenue Service, compiled by the nonprofit Guidestar.
