Verizon Wireless names new regional president

Verizon Wireless has named Ken Dixon president of the New England region, replacing Bob Stott, who retired last month after forty years of service with the company.

Dixon has been with Verizon since 1992, serving in a range of roles from sales to marketing management positions.  He will be responsible for the carrier's distribution strategy, including the expansion of its company-owned Communications Stores.  Dixon most recently served as president of the company's Upstate New York and Georgia regions.

"Ken's sales, operations, management experience, and strong ties to the New England market will help ensure a smooth transition," said Rick Conrad, Verizon Wireless' Northeast Area president.  "His focus on customer satisfaction will greatly benefit our customers."
