Verizon Wireless said it would hire 45 new customer service professionals for its Meriden office, and that it has added a new cell site that will increase coverage to downtown Hartford and along Interstate 91. The company plans an information session tomorrow night at its Continuity Marketing Contact Center in Meriden, to try and attract new employees, particularly bilingual ones. The company spent nearly $318 million to expand its network in New England last year, including the new metro-Hartford cell site.
