Verizon Wireless’ 4G LTE has made its way to Rutland, in the latest part of the company’s efforts to expand the service throughout New England.
The wireless network operator said the coverage will be in the vicinity of routes 122, 56 and 31.
Verizon says 4G networks operate up to 10 times faster than 3G.
In May, it expanded coverage in Worcester and now says 4G coverage spans two-thirds of the United States.
