Verizon Wireless has enhanced its 4G LTE network in Shrewsbury, the latest announcement in a larger effort to expand the service throughout New England.
Verizon debuted its 4G network in Boston in 2010, expanded it in Worcester in 2012, and now says it is available to more than 301 million people in more than 500 markets across the United States.
According to Verizon, 4G allows customers to surf the web, post photos and status updates and download files wireless up to 10 times fast than those on 3G networks.
