Southborough life sciences firm Veristat has acquired British contract research company SQN Clinical in a move the company says will allow it to expand its European capacities.
The acquisition was announced Thursday with no financial figure being given, although Veristat said it will add more than 100 employees through the purchase. For 25 years, SQN Clinical has successfully supported the needs of global pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, and animal health partners, according to the release from Versitat.
“The acquisition of SQN Clinical demonstrates our global commitment to those services that play a formative role in driving clinical development and commercial success,” Veristat CEO Patrick Flanagan said in the release.
The acquisition will allow Veristat to address the needs of companies conducting trials in the U.S., U.K. and Europe, according to the company.
