Verc Enterprises, a Duxbury convenience store and gas station operator, has opened two locations in Central Massachusetts.
At 5,000 square feet, the Athol location will be the second largest store in Verc's chain. The full service store is on Templeton Road.
Verc is leasing the property for an undisclosed price.
The site will include a Dunkin’ Donuts drive through, sales of beer and wine, and a diesel truck aisle at the pumps.
Verc has also added a second Bellingham location with a Shell Station on North Main Street. The site previously housed a Citgo Station, which was demolished.
This brings their total number of stores to 33 in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. The company began in 1970 with a car wash in Marshfield. Today, it has nearly 400 employees.
