The Massachusetts Technology Leadership Council (MassTLC) named uTest the 2013 Private Company of the Year.
The success and leadership of the software testing services firm, which this month moved its headquarters from Southborough to Framingham, “provides a shining example of what it takes to keep the commonwealth's tech sector growing and thriving,” MassTLC CEO Tom Hopcroft said in a statement.
Launched in 2008, uTest has raised $37.5 million in venture funding, according to the company. It has offices in Cambridge, San Mateo, Calif., and Seattle, Wash. With 130 employees, uTest provides in-the-wild software testing for Web, mobile and desktop applications through contractors in more than 200 countries.
uTest received the honor at MassTLC’s annual awards gala in Boston Sept. 13.
