Two subsidiaries of United Technologies Corp. announced deals worth a combined $550 million this morning, the second day of the Paris Air show. One is a $204 million sale by Sikorsky of nine UH-60M helicopters to the Middle East nation of Bahrain. The other is a $345 million deal between Pratt & Whitney and Sao Paulo, Brazil-based TAM Airlines, to install P&W engines on six TAM aircraft. United Technologies said it expects to announce $4 billion worth of deals over the course of the week-long air show.
