The U.S. News and World Report named 200 publicly-traded companies to its inaugural list of best companies to work for, and three Central Massachusetts companies made the list.
Boston Scientific in Marlborough, Waters Corp. in Milford and The Hanover Insurance Group in Worcester all made the list of 200 companies. Texas-based Dell, which has a facility in Hudson, made the list as well.
The companies were not ranked and were listed alphabetically.
The list factors in evolving employee sentiment of what makes a workplace the best to work for and analyzes that sentiment and other information to evaluate quality of pay and benefits, work-life balance and flexibility, job and company stability, physical and psychological comfort, belongingness and esteem, and career opportunities and professional development, according to a June 6 press release from U.S. News and World Report.
"This recognition is a true testament to our employees and the passion they share to create an inclusive culture that unites colleagues around a greater purpose," Waters President and CEO Udit Batra said in a Monday press release from the Milford company. "It is an honor to be recognized by U.S. News & World Report as a company that works to meet the needs of our employees so that together we can solve problems that matter, ensuring we all leave the world better than we found it."
