AFC Doctors Express, a nationwide urgent care franchise, plans to open its second Central Massachusetts location in Marlborough.
The Doctors Express location is slated to begin serving patients in October and will be located at 42 Boston Post Rd. West, close to Exit 24B off Interstate 495.
The center will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays, and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends, according to a website for the new facility. It will treat walk-in patients, and will offer services such as vaccinations, physicals, x-rays and lab services.
Creature comforts will also be aplenty, with Doctors Express offering chocolate chip cookies in all of its waiting areas and flat-screen televisions in all its exam rooms.
Doctors Express opened its first Central Massachusetts location in Natick in August 2012, and New England president Rick Crews said in May the center plans to open two Worcester-area locations by spring 2015.
