PHOTO/COURTESY The Unum Group has more than 500 employees in Worcester.

Insurance agency Unum says it has donated nearly $1 million to Central Massachusetts nonprofit organizations.

Though the amount of each donation aren’t listed in the company’s 2017 Corporate Responsibility Report, the company did list the local recipients of the company’s philanthropy.

According to the report, the Boys & Girl’s Club, South High Community School, Girls, Inc., The Mass. Women’s Initiative, the Worcester Art Museum, Working for Worcester and Hanover Theatre all received money from Unum.

South High is home to one of the company’s largest educational partnerships, and the company said it has helped Hanover Theatre grow its guest count to 200,000 patrons each year, including 18,000 students.
