An IT analyst at Southbridge’s Harrington Hospital has been named president of United Way of Southbridge, Sturbridge and Charlton.
April Parzych, a Brookfield native, has officially began her one-year term.
She’s been employed by Harrington Hospital for 32 years. He’s previously chaired the UWSSC 2018 Campaign, which raised more than $300,000 for local programs and services.
“My passion is providing the most vulnerable members of our community with the resources they need. I enjoy collaboratively working to provide needed services,” Parzych said in a statement.
She has served on the UWSCC board for six years and has been a United Way member for 10 years. Her role as president comes after the completion of her vice presidency term.
“April has been a longtime supporter and a board member for a number of years. She is very passionate about the mission of the United Way and has always advocated for those in need in the Tri-Community,” said Executive Director Mary O’Coin. “We look forward to her leadership over the next year and know we are in good hands.”
