United Solutions buys $70M Rubbermaid storage business
United Solutions, a Leominster-based plastic products supplier, has acquired the Rubbermaid consumer storage totes business from Newell Brands Inc. of New Jersey for an undisclosed sum.

United Solutions, a Leominster-based plastic products supplier, has acquired the Rubbermaid consumer storage totes business from Newell Brands Inc. of New Jersey for an undisclosed sum.
Coinciding with the sale, which was announced last week by Newell, the companies will enter into a five-year licensing agreement for the use of the Rubbermaid brand name. The business does approximately $70 million in annual sales, according to Newell.
In addition to Leominster, United Solutions has manufacturing plants in Sardis, Miss. and Gilbert, Ariz.
