Whitinsville-based UniBank has expanded to Grafton, opening its 10th branch last week and announcing $50,000 in planned financial donations to area organizations.
At a ribbon cutting at the 89 Worcester St. location Thursday, UniBank President and CEO James F. Paulhus said the bank will contribute the money to organizations in Grafton this year, in addition to the $17,500 it’s given in recent years.
The bank, which has assets of $1.4 billion, plans to announce next month how the funds will be allocated, it said.
It also plans to partner with the Grafton Public Library to host story hours for children in the bank’s community room while the library undergoes renovations.
In addition to announcing community contributions, UniBank said it’s celebrating its newest branch with special offers available to new and current customers that include premium rates on home equity lines of credit, CD and electronic checking specials, and fast-track loans for businesses.
UniBank has been in business for 140 years and has nine other locations in the Blackstone Valley, Milford and Worcester.
