UniBank, based in Whitinsville, has named Nobo Sircar, a former executive vice president and chief financial officer of Bank of New Hampshire, as the institution's new CFO, the company announced on Wednesday.
Sircar also previously worked as EVP and CFO at South Shore Bank, and currently serves on the board of directors for the Massachusetts Bankers Association.
“Nobo brings deep financial industry experience with a proven track record to UniBank,” said UniBank CEO Michael Welch, in a statement. “He also possesses the community bank mindset necessary to assist our team to drive our ‘Community First’ mission and we welcome him to UniBank. His financial acumen coupled with his commitment to serving the community made him the ideal candidate.”
The former CFO of UniBank, Douglas Moisan, left in June after working at the company for two years to take the CFO position at Athol Savings Bank, according to Moisan's LinkedIn profile.
UniBank is the sixth largest bank in Central Massachusetts, as ranked by local deposits. UniBank has $1.6 billion in deposits and $2.1 billion in assets, according to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp.
