UniBank of Whitinsville has added a new chief commercial lending officer to its senior executive team, part of a two-person hire to its commercial lending leadership team.
Tom McGregor of Shrewsbury joins UniBank as senior vice president and chief commercial lending officer from United Bank, which is headquartered in Hartford. McGregor has 25 years of commercial lending and financial experience. He has a bachelor's degree in finance from Boston College and serves on the boards of the Red Cross of Central Massachusetts, the Worcester Art Museum, the Worcester Regional Research Bureau, and Mechanics Hall.
The Whitinsville bank, which has assets of $1.8 billion, announced the appointment on Wednesday, along with Todd Mandella of Worcester joining as senior vice president and senior commercial loan officer. UniBank said both will lead the bank's commercial banking team in commercial market growth and relationship management.
Mandella has 18 years of industry experience and also joins UniBank from United Bank. He has bachelor's and master's degrees in economics from Trinity College in Hartford, and serves on the boards of the Boys and Girls Club of Worcester and YOU Inc.
