A professor from the University of Massachusetts Medical School is one of five researchers from across the country being honored by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society for contributions to blood cancer research.
Michelle A. Kelliher, associate professor of cancer biology at the Worcester medical school, was recognized as a Stohlman Scholar for her research into T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia, a serious form of pediatric blood cancer.
The Stohlman Scholars are researchers who have received LLS funding to support their investigations.
