UMass Memorial reaches tentative agreement with Mass. Nurses Association

UMass Memorial Health Care said Friday that it reached a tentative agreement with the Massachusetts Nurses Association following expedited negotiations, reaching what it says is the earliest settlement in recent history.

The agreement would apply to members of the UMass Memorial Medical Center’s Memorial/Hahnemann bargaining unit. There will be a vote to ratify the contract in July, and no further details will be provided until then, according to Anthony Berry, a UMass Memorial spokesman.

A statement from UMass Memorial President and CEO Eric Dickson said the company looks forward to reaching a settlement with its university bargaining unit later this month.
