UMass Memorial Medical Center said Thursday it has reached an agreement with the United Food and Commercial Workers union.

The three-year contract includes at least a 3% increase in hourly wages for a majority of the union membership in each year of the contract, and maintains current health and retirement benefits, UMass said.

The latest agreement comes weeks after UMass Memorial reached new labor agreements with nearly 2,400 union nurses at its Memorial and University campuses in Worcester.

The nursing contracts will increase staff on certain critical-care floors, including what the Massachusetts Nurses Association said are critical care units and medical-care units, as well as formation of a committee to evaluate nurses’ staffing concerns and recommend changes to improve patient care. Both agreements provide a pay increase for all nurses over the four years with a compounded rate of 6.7%.
