UMass Memorial Medical Center and MetroWest Medical Center have made a new list of the best seven hospitals in Massachusetts and 100 best in the country.
The new 2019 ratings from the website Healthgrades focus on clinical quality outcomes for 32 conditions and procedures.
Healthgrades didn't break down individual scores for UMass Memorial or for MetroWest, which includes its hospitals in both Framingham and Natick. But UMass Memorial was also listed by Healthgrades as a top-50 hospital for cardiac surgery in each of the last three years and top-100 for coronary intervention procedures in each of the last three years.
The two Central Massachusetts hospitals were joined by Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington, Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford, Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston and Newton-Wellesley Hospital in Newton. Each made the top 250 hospitals nationally, or the top 5 percent in the country, Healthgrades said.
Baystate, Lahey and Newton-Wellesley made Healthgrades' top-50 list.
