Fairlawn Rehabilitation Hospital, a 110-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Worcester, announced on Wednesday the appointment of Pete Lancette as CEO.
Before joining Fairlawn, Lancette spent more than 25 years working with the company’s venture partner, UMass Memorial Health, of Worcester Most recently, Lancette served as associate vice president and interim associate chief nursing officer for UMass Memorial's field hospital operations during the COVID-19 pandemic. He has previously served as the director of cardiovascular diagnostic and interventional services, according to the press release.
Prior to his career as a civilian, Lancette served as chief nurse and commander in the U.S. Army Reserve, earning the rank of major.
Lancette’s appointment comes after his predecessor, Anne Roper, became CEO of the University of Florida Health Rehabilitation Hospital in April 2021.
Fairlawn is affiliated national healthcare provider Encompass Health, which is headquartered in Alabama.
“Pete brings more than 25 years of experience serving in clinical and operational roles in varied healthcare settings to our hospital’s leadership team, and I am confident he will make incredible contributions to Fairlawn Rehabilitation Hospital,” said Pat Tuer, president of Encompass Health’s Northeast Region.
