UMass Memorial Health Care has appointed an interim president and CEO for its Community Healthlink outpatient health center in Worcester.
Tamara Lundi, a licensed clinical social worker who joined Community Healthlink in 2014, replaces Nicole Gagne, who accepted a new leadership role in behavioral health in Western Massachusetts, UMass announced Wednesday.
Lundi has served in various leadership roles at Community Healthlink, including as its executive vice president, when she led development and supervision of the organization's project management office and provided leadership and implementation support for key initiatives, UMass said. She's also served as interim vice president for a variety of Community Healthlink divisions.
Lundi has more than 10 years of experience in the human services field in various capacities, including working as a direct care worker, licensed drug and alcohol counselor, and licensed certified social worker.
“She has the support of our senior leadership and worked closely with Nicole Gagne to ensure a solid transition," Douglas Brown, the president of UMass Memorial Community Hospitals and Chief Administration Office, said in a statement. "I know that Tamara, the CHL leadership team and all the exceptional staff members will ensure that CHL continues to provide high-quality, behavioral health care to thousands of people in our community well into the future.”
Community Healthlink, located on Jaques Avenue, provides services for mental health, substance abuse and homelessness.
Gagne was made the head of Community Healthlink in 2016 when longtime president and CEO Deborah Ekstrom retired at the end of 2015. Gagne joined Community Healthlink in 2012 from North Central Human Services in Gardner.
