The University of Massachusetts Medical School and a Vermont IT company on Wednesday said they are partnering to help clients manage long term care services for patients, with the goal of containing costs.
Commonwealth Medicine, the healthcare consulting arm of UMass Medical School, will work with Jericho, Vt.-based Long Term Care Innovation Inc. (LTCI) to provide management, continuity, analytics and business software services aimed at controlling costs, LTCI said.
LTCI will leverage Commonwealth Medicine’s expertise in helping state and federal agencies and other healthcare organizations to design and implement software services addressing a variety of challenges, and developing programs to serve vulnerable populations.
