The coronavirus testing and vaccine clinic being run by UMass Memorial Health at the Mercantile Center announced on Wednesday it has crossed the milestone of distributing 30,000 vaccines in four months.
The clinic opened in February, with the Mercantile Center offering the space for free, as well as free parking in the Mercantile Center Garage for anyone who uses its testing or vaccination services.
UMass Memorial did have to pause new vaccination appointments for a few weeks in February due to a shortage of doses. The Mercantile clinic has been up and running since then, with no appointments necessary and walk-ups being encouraged.
The Mercantile clinic has conducted 60,000 COVID tests since February.
