U.K. Co. Makes Burlington Its U.S. Headquarters
United Kingdom-based data management software company IDBS is expanding its Burlington operation and establishing the location as its U.S. health care headquarters.
The company recently added eight new employees in Burlington, bringing its total head count there to 20. It also added 24 other new hires along the East Coast to support its U.S. health care business.
IDBS provides software to help R&D and health care companies manage data and build models.
IDBS is headquartered in Guildford, U.K. It also has locations in London, California, New Jersey, Japan, India, China and Australia.
Gov. Deval Patrick's office noted that the governor has been working with U.K. companies including IDBS in recent months to encourage more international partnerships in Massachusetts.
