Tree House Brewing Co. is planning a taproom on Cape Cod next summer, the Charlton craft brewer announced on social media Thursday.
Tree House's planned second location would be in Sandwich, a town just over the Sagamore Bridge at the base of the Cape. The opening will be pending coronavirus regulations, Tree House said.
The brewery said the Cape Cod location is aimed at solving a problem it's yet to figure out: providing enough beer to its customers, who don't have the option of finding Tree House's cans at liquor stores or on draft at bars.
"Tree House Cape Cod is part of a broad effort to remedy this problem, relieving pressure on our main campus while bringing the Tree House experience closer to you," the brewer said. "Our roots are in Massachusetts, and more broadly, New England, and calling a sliver of the Cape home fills us with pride and purpose to do even better on your behalf."

Tree House officials couldn't immediately be reached for additional comment Thursday morning.
Tree House's Instagram post Thursday morning showed aerial photos of the former site of a restaurant called the Drunken Seal, on Cape Cod Bay between the Cape Cod Canal and a tourist draw, the Sandwich Boardwalk. It isn't clear whether that's the location where Tree House intends to open.
Tree House bought a farm in Woodstock, Conn., in early 2019 for $1.6 million that's available by reservation only, with unpasteurized apple cider to go, Tree House coffee, produce, and a small selection of pumpkins and gourds.
Tree House moved from Monson to Charlton in 2017 and has since expanded its sprawling property with walking trails and other outdoor amenities.
