A Townsend warehouse property that had fallen into foreclosure has been purchased for $650,000, according to the buyer's agent, Greater Boston Commercial Properties.
Everett Murray, owner of Triple M. Moving & Storage of Brockton, bought the 39,000-square-foot building located at 35 Scales Ln., Greater Boston Commercial Properties said. The broker, Bret O'Brien, assisted Triple M. with an "extensive search" of properties near Interstate 495 before the buyer settled on the Scales Lane building, Greater Boston said.
The building offered "unparalleled value," according to Greater Boston, costing $17 per square foot and featuring 20-foot ceilings in the warehouse space in the rear of the building, as well as air-conditioned flex space at the front of the building. The site also offers ample room for expansion, Greater Boston said.
The property, which sits on a 10-acre industrial site, was acquired by Merrimack County Savings Bank through foreclosure in October 2012, Greater Boston said.
