Framingham-based retailer TJX Cos. Inc. reported $2.2 billion in sales for the five-week period ending Oct. 1, an increase of 6 percent over the same period a year ago.
Consolidated comparable store sales for the five-week period increased 4 percent from last year, and five percent for the Marmaxx group, the company’s largest division, which includes its Marshall’s and T.J. Maxx stores.
TJX is also ahead on the year going into the holiday sales season, with revenues of $14.6 billion, an increase of 6 percent from this time last year.
