TJX Sales Above Expectations
June sales for The TJX Cos. Inc. of Framingham rose 8 percent to $2.1 billion this year.
Consolidated comparable store sales rose 5 percent.
TJX said the sales exceeded expectations, and the company is now predicting second-quarter earnings per share at or slightly above the high end of the 81- to 86-cent range it had previously predicted.
The earnings per share number for the same quarter last year was 74 cents.
