TJX recalls light-up decorations

Couresty of the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission The autumn wreath with silk leaves and Chinese Lantern fruit was recalled by TJX due to fire risks.

TJX Cos. of Framingham is recalling 4,600 Gardeners Eden brand light-up autumn decorations that can short circuit and pose a fire risk, U.S. regulators said.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission said TJX received two reports of units overheating, but no injuries or property damage. The Gardeners Eden decorative wreaths and Chinese Lantern plant arrangements were manufactured in China by Dalian Guangsheng Arts & Crafts Co., and imported by TJX.

The decorations were sold at TJ Maxx, Marshalls and HomeGoods last August and September for $25 to $30 each.

Customers have been advised to stop using the products immediately, remove the batteries and return them to a TJX-affiliated store for a full refund.
