TJX Cos. of Framingham reported June sales of $1.8 billion, a 9 percent increase over the $1.7 billion it reported for the same period a year ago.
The company said “favorable weather” in most of the U.S. boosted demand for summer apparel. Same-store sales increased 5 percent over last June. The company said the June results were well above expectations.
TJX operates discount retail stores including TJ Maxx, Marshalls, HomeGoods, Bob’s Stores, A.J. Wright and others.
