Discount retail giant TJX Cos. Inc. said February sales were up 16 percent over the same month a year ago.
The Framingham-based company said it took in $1.4 billion during the month as shoppers continued to focus on bargains.
Same store sales were 10 percent above February 2008.
TJX operates T.J. Maxx, Marshalls, HomeGoods and other retailers.
