Waltham-based Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. has signed an agreement to acquire Lomb Scientific.
Lomb is a provider of laboratory chemicals and instruments and does business primarily in Australia, New Zealand, Asia and the Middle East. The company has about 100 employees and annual revenue of about $34 million.
The buy is part of Thermo Fisher’s effort to expand in the Asia Pacific market.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Thermo Fisher has operations in Worcester and elsewhere in Central Massachusetts.
