First-quarter revenues rose 4 percent to $2.7 billion for Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., which is has operations in Central Massachusetts.
The Waltham-based scientific products company’s profit also increased in the first quarter by 8.5 percent to $252 million.
Acquisition-related expenses fell, while research and development expenses increased.
The company also increased its full-year revenue guidance and announced it would continue working on plans to construct a new operations center in China.
