Year-over-year revenues for Thermo Fisher Scientific, which is based in Waltham but has major operations in MetroWest, increased both in the final quarter of 2011 and for the year, the company announced.
In the fourth quarter, the company made a $288 million profit on $3.1 billion in revenues, an increase from the $297 million profit it made on $2.7 billion in revenues in 2010.
For the full year, the company ended 2011 earning $1.3 billion in profit on $11.7 billion in revenues, up from $1 billion and $10.5 billion respectively in 2010.
The company has operations in Milford and Franklin.
