The Hanover Insurance Group has named Mina Rona as its president of technology and life sciences.
In this role, Rona will lead the firm’s technology and life sciences organization to identify unique risks faced by businesses in these fields, according to a press release issued by the publicly traded insurance company based in Worcester on Thursday.
"Mina's promotion is a testament to her exceptional leadership skills and deep expertise in the technology and life sciences industries," Matthew Mitchell, president of middle market at The Hanover, said in the statement. "Her innovative thinking and deep understanding of the technology and life sciences industry is invaluable, as she works closely with the team to develop cutting-edge insurance solutions.”
Rona has spent 26 years in the insurance industry and has served with Hanover since 2018 as the company’s chief underwriting officer of technology and life sciences underwriting.
Prior to joining Hanover, she served as an underwriting officer at Illinois-based Travelers Global Technology Insurance.
