Houston-based investment real estate firm Hines Global REIT paid $103 million for The Campus in Marlborough, a sprawling 532,000-square-foot, fully-leased property that has room for further expansion.
Hines announced the purchase of the three buildings in the complex from Bel Marlborough I and Bel Marlborough II LLC.
The campus was built in 1999 and includes two-, three-, four- and six-story buildings and is leased to tenants that include Hologic, Hewlett-Packard and Wellington Management, Hines said.
The site has about 650,000 square feet of undeveloped space. It’s near two other large vacant or soon-to-be vacant sites, including the former HP manufacturing site recently purchased by Zinc Management and the Fidelity Campus, which is set to be vacant by the end of next year.
