Fitchburg nonprofit The Arc of Opportunity has added two new executive leaders to the positions of chief operating officer and chief financial officer.
Kevin Salera will step into the COO position after previously serving in the same role for The Arc of Bristol County where he developed and grew programs in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
The Clark University and Stonehill College graduate established new residential homes to support individuals with intellectual disabilities and brain injuries while adding day programs, self-directed services and employment services.
Francis Hurley, the former president and CEO of the Boys and Girls Club of MetroWest, will step into the CFO role after 30 years of finance experience in both the public and private sectors.
While in MetroWest, Hurley increased membership by 50%, raised $5 million via capital campaigns and implemented a staffing model saving the organization more than $450,000.
In a statement, The Arc of Opportunity President and CEO Mary Heafy said the experience the two bring will help the organization provide innovative supports to Central Massachusetts.
“The Arc is enthusiastic to successfully take advantage of developing opportunities by combining visionary leadership with a robust strategic direction,” Heafy said.
