At the Worcester City Council meeting on Nov. 30, Worcester City Assessor Samuel Konieczny included a list of the largest payers of fiscal 2021 property tax in Worcester, as part of a larger discussion about setting next year’s commercial & industry and residential property tax rates.
The list included a couple large players in the downtown block near Worcester Common, as well as several utility companies.

MC Roseland Worcester LLC is registered to the address of Mack-Cali Realty Corp., a real estate investment company based in New Jersey. The firm purchased a parcel on Front Street in downtown Worcester for $3 million in 2015, which it has since developed into 145 Front at City Square, a 237-unit luxury apartment complex.
Front Street Associates LLC is the firm that owns and oversaw the redevelopment of the Mercantile Center on Front Street. The corporation is registered to Chip Norton, manager and owner of Wellesley-based Franklin Realty Advisors.Â
A final vote on Worcester’s commercial and residential property taxes for FY22 is expected for the Dec. 7 City Council meeting.
