TerraTherm Lands $36.8M Job At Vietnam Airport

TerraTherm Inc., a Gardner-based toxics remediation firm, has won a government contract worth $36.8 million to clean up an organic pollutant that has accumulated at a Vietnam airport, it announced.

TerraTherm will use a method called thermal remediation to clean up areas of DaNang Airport, where herbicides were stored and handled during the Vietnam War, leaving behind dioxin contamination.

The company will treat approximately 95,000 cubic yards of soil and sediment by heating it above ground in batches over a several-month period.

The contract was awarded by the U.S. Agency for International Development.
