A Tennessee company has proposed a 90,000-square-foot storage facility at 579 Old Connecticut Path in Framingham.
The self-storage facility, consisting of two buildings, is estimated to cost more than $6 million, according to an application submitted to the City of Framingham’s planning board by Katherine Garrahan a partner at Worcester-based law firm Bowditch & Dewey, on behalf of her client, PSI Atlantic Framingham MA, LLC, which is an affiliate Tennessee-based Premier Storage Investors.
The property is owned by 58 Exchange Realty, LLC of Milford, which last purchased it in 2016 for $3.1 million, according to City of Framingham property records. It is assessed by the City at $574,600. It is being used as a landscape materials yard, according to the application.
The storage facility plans indicate the facility will be operated by Extra Space Storage, the second largest self-storage company in the U.S., operating more than 2,000 facilities, according to the company’s website.
