Temescal Wellness will open its second recreational cannabis retail location in Hudson on Wednesday after more than a month of delays.
The company, which grows marijuana in Worcester, originally was instructed by the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission on Jan. 8 that locations in Hudson and Pittsfield could open in three days.
The Pittsfield location did, but local officials in Hudson had not yet planned around the inevitable traffic and logistical issues.
According to the town, customers will park at the old police station at 62 Packard St. Shuttle buses will take customers to the 252 Coolidge St. store.
The store is the first to open in the MetroWest area and is one of nine recreational stores in the state to get approval from the Cannabis Control Commission to open.
Temescal Wellness operates nine different locations in three states including New Hampshire and Maryland.
A Framingham medical dispensary is planned to begin offering adult use sales later this year.
