Franklin medical device contract manufacturer Tegra Medical has expanded its sales presence to Europe with a location in the U.K., the company announced Monday.
To manage the sales operation across the Atlantic, Tegra has hired medical device consultant and executive Neil Garner as the business development manager for Europe. He has more than 25 years of experience in contract manufacturing and has held senior leadership positions in two companies prior.
The company was acquired in 2016 by of SFS Group AG, a Switzerland-headquartered manufacturer of precision components, though Tegra Medical kept its brand and headquarters.
European sales will compliment Tegra Medical’s parent company’s presence on the continent, said Lee Crowe, vice president of sales and marketing at Tegra Medical.
Tegra Medical’s European location in Sheffield, U.K. is less than a four-hour flight away from SFS AG Group’s headquarters, according to Google Maps.
