Franklin contract medical device manufacturer Tegra Medical is expanding its operations into Europe and Asia, the company announced on Monday.
Following the expansion, the company will operate in nine locations across three continents, including locations in Switzerland, Malaysia and China.
Tegra Medical is part of SFS Group AG, a Swiss provider of customized precision formed components and mechanical fastening systems.
“With its unparalleled expertise in making some of the industry’s most challenging products, Tegra Medical is the core of SFS Division Medical,” said Jens Breu, SFS Group CEO, in a statement.
The company purchased a 120,000 square foot building across from its Franklin headquarters earlier this year, Tegra CEO Walter Kobler said in a statement, and the company also plans to expand its operations in Hernando, Miss. Expanding globally was the company’s next step, he said.
