Newton-based online IT media publisher TechTarget Inc. has acquired BeyeNetwork, a Boulder, Colo.-based collection of technology news web sites.
BeyeNetwork includes BeyeBlogs, BeyeResearch and related international language web sites. The sites provide news written by industry experts on business analytics, data integration and data governance.
As part of the acquisition, Ron Powell, BeyeNetwork’s founder, will join TechTarget.
TechTarget, which has operations in MetroWest, said the acquisition is a response to the business intelligence market’s move to a stronger focus on analytics.
With BeyeNetwork in hand, TechTarget launched SearchBusinessAnalytics, a web site designed for IT and business leaders.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
