TD Bank is partnering with the International Franchise Association and a group of food-service companies to help military veterans become franchise owners.
Dunkin' Donuts, Domino's Pizza, Baskin-Robbins and Papa Murphy's, a pizza shop that does not yet have Massachusetts locations, are the pilot franchises participating in the program.
According to the New Jersey-based bank, those companies within its Maine-to-Florida service area will be able to offer a streamlined loan application process, packaging fee waivers and lower interest rates from TD Bank for veterans.
Rich Bradshaw, head of Small Business Administration (SBA) lending at TD Bank, said, "A military background provides veterans with important skills and traits that we see in small business owners.
Veterans can get information about financing with TD Bank when they approach a participating company about becoming a franchisee.
