Sutton-based Concierge Physical Therapy will open a new, larger facility down the road from its previous location, after securing a U.S. Small Business Administration loan from the Worcester Business Development Corporation and Auburn-based bank Webster Five.
The purchased and renovated physical therapy center, located at 211 Worcester-Providence Turnpike in Sutton, is more than twice the size of its former location, allowing Concierge Physical Therapy to serve more patients throughout Central Massachusetts, according to a Tuesday press release from WBDC.
Concierge Physical Therapy had grown substantially since opening in 2018, owner Sean Lordan said in the release. Lordan has been considering a larger location for a few years, as the company couldn’t expand without more space.
“Ultimately this would have limited our ability to create more access to care in Central Mass., hire more local employees, and invest in the latest technologies,” Lordan said in the release.
Concierge Physical Therapy operates four locations throughout the Worcester and Middlesex counties.
SBA 504 loans are long-term, fixed-rate financing options for small businesses, aimed at bolstering business expansion and job creation, according to the SBA website. Loans are available up to a maximum amount of $5.5 million and financing is made available through SBA community-based nonprofit partners.
WBDC could not be reached to confirm the amount of the SBA 504 loan.
"Supporting our local businesses here in Worcester County is always a priority for Webster Five," Patrick Royce, Webster Five vice president, business lending officer III, said in the release. "We're pleased to support the continued growth of Concierge Physical Therapy as they expand their capabilities to serve our community."
